Early 2020 was a brilliant time for Sunderland fans. Between mid-December and the end of February, the side had only lost one match from 15 played. But, since March has begun, the side have lost two and drawn one of their three games.
The second loss of March came at the hands of Bristol Rovers last night. Jonson Clarke-Harris scored both goals in the Rovers’ 2-0 win over Phil Parkinson’s side.
After full-time Parkinson spoke about the match, claiming that he was disappointed with the performance.
When the club posted footage of the manager speaking about his team’s performance, many Sunderland fans criticised him. They don’t think that he has done good enough since joining their side.

Not even an acknowledgement, a thanks or apology to the supporters who travelled all that way on a Tuesday night, not good enough Parkinson

Is Phil Parkinson the right man for the Sunderland job?
No
Yes
One fan admits that the club hasn’t done him any favours either, in fairness. They have killed his career.
Broken man broken team and broken club. This will only get worse. Yet another managers career Sunderland have killed

What do we think?
Parkinson has averaged 1.41 points per match in his 29 games in charge of the Black Cats. This is his third-best record at a club. The loss against Bristol Rovers did knock Sunderland out of a playoff spot. But, with the gap between third and eighth being just one point, there is still everything to play for as the season comes to a close.
