This week Rangers fans reacted to a clip of Jim McColl discussing his potential investment in Rangers FC. The businessman hinted that he could be open to taking over the club in the near future.
During the clip, the £800 million man referenced Liverpool FC’s ‘Moneyball’ analytics approach that has made them so successful this season, claiming that he would love to roll out a similar plan at Ibrox.
This footage was shared online by Rangers fan Michael Seafarer, garnering a lot of responses from other Rangers supporters. While some find what he says interesting, others aren’t willing to believe him. They reckon that if he wanted to buy the club, he would have done so ages ago.
He has more money than you could shake a stick at he should have put money in a long time ago.

Sat back in our hours of need, now wants a piece of the action when it’s looking a lot better? Thanks for nothing, I’ll pass.

Is Jim McColl being genuine in his interview?
Yes
No
What do we think?
We’re not exactly sure what these Rangers fans truly think about McColl’s interest in the club. It appears as though most fans would be open to him taking over the club, but just don’t believe that he will. Only time will tell before McColl’s true intentions are known.
