This week, Rangers fans responded to rumours that Nathaniel Clyne could be tempted to make a move from Liverpool to Rangers on a free transfer in the summer. This news was shared online via True Blues Loyal on Twitter following reports from Football Insider.

The report suggests that the 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of June, with Liverpool not looking likely to offer the Englishman an extension to his current contract.

What do we think?

Clyne has 185 top-flight appearances to his name since 2012/13. Despite his experience, he only racked up 18 matches last year and is yet to get on the pitch in the current campaign.

We aren’t surprised that these fans believe that Clyne could be a fine addition to their team in the near future.
