Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustration with Alfredo Morelos following their midweek loss to Hamilton Academical.

Rangers came up short in Wednesday’s clash with Hamilton, losing 1-0 when David Moyo scored the only goal of the game in the 56th minute.

Colombian international Morelos made his return to the Rangers squad for Wednesday’s clash with Hamilton. The centre-forward was absent from the Rangers team for last Saturday’s SFA Cup quarter-final loss to Hearts, due to “a disciplinary issue”, according to Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

Morelos is currently Rangers’ leading goalscorer for the 2019/20 season, having scored 29 goals in his 44 games in all competitions for the club. However, despite his return to the side, Rangers couldn’t score from any of their 31 shots at goal versus Hamilton.

Some Rangers fans have been sharing their frustration with Morelos following Wednesday’s loss, which leaves them sitting 13 points away from top-of-the-table Celtic in the standings. Read the angry posts from some Rangers fans regarding Morelos in the tweets below.

What do we think?

Morelos has scored at least 12 more goals than any of his teammates in all competitions this season. The Colombian forward is also currently the league’s third-highest goalscorer for the 2019/20 season, scoring 12 goals in his 25 appearances this season.

Despite that, it may be fair to say that Morelos has been on a poor run of form in the league of late, failing to score a single goal in any of his last eight appearances in the competition. Morelos’ drop in form may have led to some fans souring on the Colombian forward, with some fans calling for Rangers to sell the player, who is currently valued at £13.5 million by Transfermarkt.co.uk.
