Fans of QPR have been reacting to a post by the club’s official Twitter account, which confirms the signing of Danish centre-forward Marco Ramkilde on a free transfer.
The 21-year-old, who had previously been on the books at Danish side Aalborg BK, has signed an 18-month contract with QPR, which will keep him at Loftus Road until summer 2021 and he will join up with the Under-23 squad.
In an interview with the club’s official website, the striker stated: “On the first day of my trial at QPR, it felt like the perfect match. I know this is a club with a lot of history and it is a great opportunity for me.”
He continued: “I am looking forward to showing what I can do. I want to develop – I know that I am not quite ready yet – but with the help of the staff here hopefully I can progress and help the club if I get my chance.”
In reaction to the news, fans of QPR flocked to social media, with many sending their best wishes to the club’s new signing.

One fan even stated that QPR’s move has worked with Eberechi Eze, among others, which relates to him joining on a free back in 2016.
Low cost punt on a player with potential. Worked with Eze, Manning, Chair, etc.

Interesting to see how he does, nothing special looking at his goals to appearance ratio, and we already have a few decent young strikers like: Ody Alfa, Rem Oteh, and Lew Walker. But still hope he can bang in some goals

What do we think?
In Ramkilde, QPR have a player who has represented his country at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level, scoring seven goals over 29 appearances in the Danish youth sides.
With Mark Warburton already awarding the likes of Bright Osayi-Samuel and Eberechi Eze a great deal of first-team game time this season to great effect, there is a well-trodden path for Ramkilde to follow as a youngster at QPR.
