Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting to Joe Worrall’s tweet, in which the 23-year-old reflects on Forest’s 2-2 draw at Middlesbrough on Monday night.
Worrall, who is an academy graduate of Nottingham Forest, has been one of the standout performers for the Reds so far this season, with the centre-back not missing a single minute of Championship action for the side, as well as contributing one goal and three assists.
However, Forest’s 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Middlesbrough on Monday night meant that the Reds missed the opportunity to close the gap on the league leaders, and Worrall’s comments on Twitter following the fixture showed just how frustrated he and his team were with the result.
His tweet read: “Not good enough, we know that. However, another point gained. Might just be the kick we need. Away following, immense again! Thank you.”
In reaction to the £6.3 million-rated man’s comments, Forest fans flocked to his replies, with many stating that they were still behind the team and thanked Worrall for his efforts throughout the season, while others agreed that the defender’s performance was well below par, and were not afraid to let him know.

Admire your honesty about our 1st half effort. Good character to come back and take something from the game late on. Back at the CG Friday with the chance to get back to winning ways. #COYR #NFFC

At least you know and the team know it wasn’t good enough and can improve for Friday #Nffc ?????

6 points from 15 is simply atrocious.
Going nowhere if we can’t beat teams like Charlton, Qpr and Boro.
We lost it in January really when we failed to strengthen the squad. We can’t afford any key players out but it inevitably happened. Extra quality would have made a difference— Antonio (@Antonio13111275) March 2, 2020
Every player inc yourself were poor tonight. We got lucky again, if Forest are serious about promotion they gotta really Improve and kill teams off.

What do we think?
The Championship is a long and testing season, so performing to the best of your ability in every single fixture is something that is incredibly difficult.
However, although Forest are currently performing well above pre-season expectations, they have had a wobble in form at quite a critical stage of their campaign.
In the Reds’ last six fixtures, they have picked up just nine points, through losing at home to Charlton, drawing 0-0 with QPR, and dropping points against Middlesbrough last night.
If Forest are to have any hope of achieving automatic promotion to the Premier League, they can afford no more slip-ups in their 10 remaining games.
