Fans of Millwall have been reacting to a post by the club’s official account on Twitter, which confirms the contract extension of Mahlon Romeo.
Romeo, who arrived at Millwall from Gillingham in 2015, has made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Lions so far this season, providing one assist.
The right-back has averaged a WhoScored match rating of 6.78 over his 36 Championship appearances this term, the most recent of which came in Millwall’s impressive 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest last week, when the £900k-rated defender achieved a 6.92 match rating via WhoScored.
Millwall announced on Monday that Romeo had signed a new long term deal with the club.
In reaction to the news, Millwall fans took to Twitter, with many stating their delight at the right-back’s new deal, while others claimed that Romeo has been their most improved player under the management of Gary Rowett.

Good news! Great defender. If he can just get a iota of offensive instinct he’ll be a heck of a compete player.

What do we think?
Millwall’s transformation of the players and the team’s overall performance under Gary Rowett has been impressive.
Since Rowett took charge at the club, Millwall have won 10, drawn nine and lost just five of their 24 Championship fixtures, and has overseen the Lions rise from 17th on 15 points after 13 matches, to eighth place on 54 points after 37 matches, just two points below the play-off places.
