Leeds United’s Ian Poveda has responded to a tweet posted by the club in which they are encouraging supporters to wash their hands following the viral outbreak that has seen English football suspended until at the earliest 30 April.
The club shared a video of a Pablo Hernandez’s goal versus West Bromwich Albion with the following caption: “Stay safe! Wash your hands for the amount of time it takes Pablo to score and celebrate his goal against West Brom!”
Are you looking forward to seeing Poveda in action?

Poveda, who signed for the Whites in January joined on a permanent deal, quoted the tweet and here is how some of the club’s supporters have responded.

What do we think?
During such unprecedented times, it is key that people follow the guidelines put in place by the experts and this tweet in our opinion feels like a fun way of getting a very serious message across. Judging by the responses, these Leeds fans cannot wait to see what the 20-year-old will bring to the team.
Indeed, the 675k-rated winger (as per TransferMarkt) is yet to make an appearance for the Whites since joining from Manchester City on loan in the winter and as one fan suggested, there will be an excitement about what the 20-year-old can offer Marcelo Bielsa’s side should the season resume at a later date.
