Leeds United defeated their local rivals Huddersfield Town to move to the top of the Championship on Saturday. Marcelo Bielsa’s side were without Kalvin Phillips, who is still suffering from a knee problem (via the Yorkshire Evening Post) but that didn’t prevent them from taking all three points.
Was Kalvin Phillips rushed back too soon?

What do we think?
Despite the Whites being without their defensive midfielder, they made light work of Danny Cowley’s side. Luke Ayling opened the scoring with a fantastic volley and Patrick Bamford netted a second – his first goal since 28th January.
West Bromwich Albion were held to a goalless draw by Swansea City at the weekend which opened the door for Leeds United to sneak ahead of them in the race for the title. The pair are not scheduled to meet between now and the end of the season but the Whites do take on Fulham at Elland Road later this month and you suspect Slaven Bilic will be looking at that as a potential banana skin for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
