Some Leeds United fans have been reacting positively on social media to footage of Tyler Roberts’ first goal from last weekend’s Championship game versus Hull City.

Leeds United’s official Twitter account recently made a post sharing the footage of Tyler Roberts’ first goal from Leeds’ 4-0 win. Roberts, who was introduced to the game as a 67th-minute substitute for Patrick Bamford, grabbed two goals to help Leeds secure a comfortable win over the Tigers.

The post sharing footage of the goal posed the question: “How do you even start to describe this goal?” This subsequently prompted many Leeds fans to reply to the post sharing their appreciation for the quality of football that was on display for Roberts’ first strike, which allowed the Whites to take a three-goal lead in Saturday’s tie.

Read the appreciative posts from some Leeds fans to the footage of Roberts’ goal in the tweets below.

Was Roberts' first goal the best goal scored in the Championship last weekend?

YES, ROBERTS' FIRST GOAL WAS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER

What do we think?

Leeds have notably been playing some attacking and heavily possession-based football over the course of the 2019/20 season. They have scored a total of 54 goals from their 36 games so far this season, which gives them a higher goalscoring record than all but three other Championship sides for the current season at present.

In addition to that, Leeds have kept an average of 60.2% possession in the Championship this season, as per WhoScored. That is a higher average percentage of possession than any other Championship team have managed to accumulate during the 2019/20 campaign.

Leeds have also taken an average of 16.4 shots per game in the Championship this season, which is a higher number of shots per game than any other side in the league have managed to record thus far. The quality of Leeds’ ball-playing ability, in addition to their attacking nature, is displayed by these impressive statistics. It may be fair to say that Roberts’ impressive 81st-minute goal also displayed the quality of Leeds’ attacking, possession-based style.
