A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to the news that both Jonathan Leko and Macauley Bonne have received abuse on social media since the FA decided to ban Kiko Casilla for eight games.
The Spaniard was banned for allegedly using a racist term towards Leko during the Whites’ 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athletic in September.
Are you annoyed Bonne and Leko have been abused?
Yes
Not my business
Bonne was used as a witness in the hearing and supported Leko’s claims, but since the verdict has been reached, the Addicks claim that both players have received abuse online.
This has angered some Leeds fans who feel that this should not be happening.
Charlton Athletic say the two players at the centre of the case have been the victims of abuse on social media since the Kiko Casilla case was decided.https://t.co/wuQS8Ffi46#lufc

Hardly a surprise. Probably the ones who happily claim racism isn’t a thing.

A sad indictment of the minority of fans we have. Shameful.

What do we think?
If Casilla did use a racist term towards Leko, then he is the victim and, in our opinion, should not be facing abuse from anyone.
The independent commission found Casilla to be guilty, and his claim that he was unaware of the term he used existed seems like a stupid thing to say.
Ultimately, he is now serving his ban, and hopefully, we can move on from this incident.
