Some Charlton Athletic fans have been reacting to reports which have suggested that the club’s owner Tahnoon Nimer “could sell” the club.
Addicks-focused journalist Louis Mendez took to Twitter to share an article that was recently published by the Evening Standard which claims that Nimer has allegedly “held preliminary talks over the past few days to sell the club”.
These recent reports suggesting that Nimer is prepared to sell the club come after Charlton’s board had been embroiled in what talkSPORT described as a “civil war” in recent weeks, as the club’s majority shareholder Nimer has been involved in a public row with the club’s ex-chairman Matt Southall, who was recently reported to have been “removed from the board of the club’s owners” according to the BBC.
Mendez’s post sharing the Evening Standard’s recent report about Nimer’s alleged interest in selling the club has caught the attention of some Charlton fans on social media. Read the responses of some Addicks fans to Mendez’s recent post in the tweets below.

Just after making a quick buck by the looks of it and not really interested in us at all

Is it too much to ask for someone to actually 100% care and be absolutely honest with the club like the way Bowyer, Jackson & Gallen do and for us fans to be happy that some stability and trust is part of #CAFC?

What do we think?
Considering that Nimer and Southall had been carrying out a public “power struggle” in recent weeks, it may be understandable why some Addicks fans have been responding with frustration to the recent reports claiming that Nimer may now be exploring the possibility of selling the club after Southall has already been removed from the board following their recent public row.
