In reaction to the post, fans of Charlton have flocked to share their opinion on the matter, with many using the tweet as a chance to beg Taylor to stay with the club beyond this summer, while others have simply praised the striker for keeping the fans in mind.

What do we think?

Taylor’s recent comments have clearly impressed Charlton fans, something that the 29-year-old has also been doing on the pitch throughout the season.

The forward, who is valued at £1.62 million (as per Transfermarkt), has scored 11 goals and provided one assist in his 22 Championship appearances so far this season, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.76.

With Charlton currently occupying 22nd place in the Championship table, it is evident to see why many fans are so desperate to keep a goalscorer such as Taylor at the club.
