Some Celtic fans have been making their opinions known about the transfer of Victor Wanyama from Tottenham to Montreal Impact.
It was recently confirmed that the Kenyan midfielder has joined MLS outfit Montreal Impact on a free transfer. The former Hoops star has signed a three-year deal and the move comes after he was close to a move to Club Brugge in the summer transfer window.
Do you have regrets about Wanyama joining Impact?
No, don't care about it
We should have signed him!
Many Celtic fans have been talking about Wanyama’s transfer. They had varying opinions as they discussed the midfielder’s move on Twitter.
The fact Wanyama will never sign for Celtic again is not only selfish on his behalf but now @dylanporter8800’s crying cheers

Was it a lack of ambition by Celtic or Wanyama that he didn’t come in January? I mean Canada ?? https://t.co/VK6hN9qwrN

The former Southampton man was linked with a move back to Parkhead this past January, but the move didn’t materialise.
This season, Wanyama has made only four appearances in all competitions for Spurs. Only two of them came in the Premier League as he played only 122 minutes of first-team football in the current campaign.
What do we think?
Wanyama’s injury record isn’t promising. Since the 2016-17 season, the Kenyan has missed 47 games of first-team football due to injury. The fact that he only managed 509 minutes of Premier League football last season shows that he might not have been the most reliable option for Celtic. Keeping all that in mind, Celtic fans should be happy that they didn’t sign the former Bhoy.
