Some Celtic fans have been talking about Neil Lennon’s recent comments involving the club’s star striker Odsonne Edouard.
Lennon was recently asked about Edouard and he revealed that he would ‘love to’ see the Frenchman stay at Parkhead. But he also said that there was ‘nothing’ from his side of the whole matter and he was optimistic from the ‘French side of things’.
Will Edouard be at Celtic next season?
Not a chance
I think he will
Superscoreboard tweeted Lennon’s comments out recently and it got a reaction out of many Bhoys fans.

The Daily Record also relayed the same comments and that too got a reaction out of some Hoops fans. They made their opinions clear.
Best player in Scotland by a country mile.

Stays for another season and becomes an even bigger legend what’s not to like.

So far this season, Edouard been in impressive form for the Hoops. He has made 43 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 26 times and also racking up 17 assists for the side.
What do we think?
Lennon’s comments add no certainty to Edouard’s situation. He has been linked with a move to Monaco and Leicester City in recent weeks and that speculation doesn’t help at all. Reports recently had said that the Hoops will hand him a new deal so that he leaves at the end of next season.
All that shows is that Edouard’s situation is far from secure. Lennon’s words reflect that, as he first talks about how he would ‘love to’ keep him but then also says that he knows ‘nothing’ about the situation. In that sense, Celtic fans are right to feel that the player might leave soon.
