Some Celtic fans have been talking about the possibility of Eboue Kouassi breaking into the club’s first-team at some point in the near future.
Kouassi had recently left Celtic to join Genk on a loan deal this past January. A Hoops-related page called CelticNation talked about Kouassi saying that the midfielder has ‘forced his way’ into the Belgian club’s first-team. They went onto say that there is a chance that Kouassi comes back as an ‘improved player’ at Parkhead.
This left many Celtic fans talking about whether the Ivorian still has a future left at the club.
Got to be one of the unluckiest guys I have every seen us sign but guy must have a heart of a lion to try play on with knee ligament damage

We’ve Been so strong in there
As Broony fades there’s a better chance— Colin Rodgers ? (@colnrodgers) March 25, 2020
Does Kouassi have any future at Parkhead?
I don't think so
I think he does
If Soro doesn’t fit into the team we need depth I suppose

I really hope he is welcomed back , looked a real player to me then even tried to play on with a nasty injury.
Jozo should take note.— Melle Mel Frimpong (@glasmel) March 26, 2020
Kouassi had joined Celtic from Krasnodar in the January of 2017 during Brendan Rodgers’ reign. He made 12 appearances in all competitions in the 2017-18 season, but sustained an ACL injury in the early part of the 2018-19 season and he hasn’t couldn’t feature even once for the club since.
What do we think?
The midfielder is currently valued at £900k by Transfermarkt. He has made four appearances in the league for Genk, playing in all of their last three games. This shows that he indeed has begun to make an impact in the Genk first-team.
Celtic fans can only hope that he carries on his run till the end of the season. Only then can he make a case for himself in the Celtic first-team, with Ismaila Soro now at the club.
