Some Brentford fans have been reacting with admiration to a recent post from the club’s official Twitter account which shares some footage of Bees attacker Ollie Watkins performing the ‘stay at home challenge’ by attempting to do some kick-ups with a roll of toilet paper.

Watkins joined Brentford in the 2017 summer transfer window, arriving from Exeter for a transfer fee of £1.8m. Now valued at £13.5m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, it may be fair to say that the 24-year-old attacker has been one of Brentford’s most impressive players this season, scoring a total of 22 goals in his 37 Championship appearances, a goalscoring record that makes him Brentford’s top goalscorer for the 2019/20 Championship season thus far.

In addition to being Brentford’s top Championship goalscorer this season, Watkins’ 22 league goals make him the second-highest goalscorer in England’s second tier this season, trailing the league’s top scorer, Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic, by a single goal.

Some Bees supporters have been sharing their praise for the impressive goalscorer in response to his recent ‘stay at home challenge’. Read the responses from some Brentford fans in response to the club’s recent Twitter post featuring Watkins in the tweets below.

What do we think?

This recent post from Brentford’s official Twitter account may give Bees fans an indication of one of the ways in which Watkins is keeping himself occupied during the current absence of football, following the postponement of “the professional game in England”, which was announced by the EFL on Friday the 13th of March

Considering that there may be a lack of footballing entertainment at present following the postponement of the professional game, it may be understandable why some Brentford fans have been reacting positively to this recent post featuring footage of the 24-year-old goalscorer attempting some unconventional kick-ups.
