What do we think?

The Daily Mail recently reported that Manchester United, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are all interested in signing Birmingham City’s 16-year-old midfielder.

Bellingham reportedly paid a visit to Manchester United’s Carrington training ground recently, with the Red Devils allegedly “going all-out” to sign the youngster. Meanwhile, German publication Bild reported that Dortmund were prepared to break their club-record transfer fee to bring Bellingham to Signal Iduna Park this summer.

At just 16 years old, Bellingham has featured in 32 of the Blues’ 37 Championship fixtures so far this season. He has also earned an average overall rating of 6.79 according to WhoScored.com in the league, making him Birmingham’s sixth-highest rated player for the 2019/20 campaign.

It may be fair to say that the teenager has played an important role for the Blues’ first team this season, despite his age. With that in mind, it may be understandable why some Birmingham fans have been calling for the young midfielder to remain at the club for next season on social media.
