Some Birmingham City fans have been reacting with admiration to a recent post from the Blues’ official Twitter account which shares an interview featuring former Blues player Olivier Tebily, which was conducted lately with the club’s official website. 

Speaking recently with bcfc.com, Tebily discusses the significant role that Steve Bruce played in bringing him to St.Andrew’s, having originally played under Bruce at Sheffield United, which was Tebily’s first stint in English football

In his recent interview, the former Ivory Coast international states that “because (Bruce) was (his) first manager in England”, he didn’t hesitate when he called upon Tebily to join him at Birmingham City. 

The now 44-year-old former defender goes on to reminisce about the “unbelievable” Birmingham City squad he was a part of in the Premier League, stating that remembering the players that were a part of the Blues’ squad at the time is “a good memory” for him.

Tebily made a total of 87 appearances for the Blues, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, appearing in at least one competitive game in a total of six separate seasons for the club. Considering how fondly the former Ivory Coast international remembers the time that he spent at Birmingham City when recently speaking with the Blues’ official website, it may be understandable why some Birmingham fans have been sharing praise for the 44-year-old in response to his recent interview.
