Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been left furious after quotes from Faustino Asprilla emerged on social media.
In an interview with RCN, as cited by Sport Witness, the Colombian legend stated that linked man, James Rodriguez, “doesn’t have to go suffer at Wolverhampton” and labelled the Old Gold “a team that always fights against relegation” (via Talking Wolves), which had fans fuming.
Do you think that there is any truth in the James Rodriguez transfer rumours anyway? No, he's not comingYes, could be possible |

The transfer talk comes after the Old Gold were linked with a move for the Real Madrid man earlier this week in a transfer report from El Desmarque.
Despite Asprilla having enjoyed a respectable career (per Transfermarkt), Wolves fans continued to fume with how the 50-year-old former striker had waded into the transfer rumour and slated the Old Gold.
Clearly doesn’t know prem footy

Legend only in Colombia and Newcastle, don’t think he has a clue. James Rodriguez is a quality player but has unfortunately picked the wrong clubs in recent years. His career has stalled because of it.

What do we think?
Following the comments from Asprilla, it is clear to see that supporters of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have taken them to heart a little, but that is somewhat fair after the Colombian insinuated that Wolves have been fighting relegation.
The last time the Molineux club was fighting relegation in the Premier League was during the 2011/12 season, although they have done in other divisions (via Transfermarkt), however, Asprilla was still some way wide of the mark.
