Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have fumed over the appointments of the referee and video assistant referee (VAR) for the game against Brighton and Hove Albion.
As revealed by the Premier League, Andre Marriner will be the man in the middle and Chris Kavanagh will be the man operating the league’s newest tech (via Talking Wolves), which had fans fuming.

Is there any referee and VAR appointment that would satisfy you?Yes, some are okayNo, they're all terrible |
Marriner has been the referee for two Wolves games so far this season, neither of which the Old Gold lost, having won one and drawn the other (per Transfermarkt).
The last game of the Old Gold’s that the referee officiated was when Nuno Espirito Santo’s side claimed a 2-0 victory over West Ham United in early December (per Transfermarkt), though, supporters still aired their displeasure.
That’s reassuring news ?

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from supporters, they are not at all happy with the appointment of Marriner as referee and Kavanagh as VAR.
However, with the Old Gold having lost neither of the two ties which Marriner has been in charge of so far this term (per Transfermarkt), it seems strange that it is such a problem to supporters.
