Fans of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been gushing over Ruben Neves after a post on the Portuguese midfielder on the club’s official Twitter account.
On Friday morning, the Old Gold shared footage of some of the 23-year-old’s goals for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as it was Neves’ birthday (as per Wolves), which led supporters to gush.

Since arriving at Molineux in the summer of 2017 for a Championship-record fee from Porto (per BBC), Neves has featured in 125 games, during which he has scored 15 and assisted seven (per Transfermarkt). The Portuguese midfielder has a habit of scoring a number of remarkable long-range efforts, which is perhaps why one fan decided to label him as a ‘wonder kid’.
This season, the 23-year-old has been in solid form, too, with a 6.76/10 average rating making Neves the ninth-best performer for Wolves in the Premier League (per WhoScored), leaving fans keen to gush.

As can be judged from the responses from Wolves supporters, it is clear to see that Neves has almost a cult hero status amongst the fanbase.
