No, not good enough

The Hammers acquired the services of the Spanish midfielder over the summer for a £24-million fee, signing Fornals from Villarreal on a five-year deal (as per BBC).

Fornals, who is valued at £18 million (Transfermarkt), had found consistent minutes harder to come by following the turn of the year (per Transfermarkt), however, has bagged one goal and two assists in his previous three Premier League outings (per Transfermarkt), leaving fans delighted.

It is great to see that, having only arrived at the club in the summer (per BBC), fans have taken to the 24-year-old and that the player himself is embracing the club’s culture.

However, having picked up a weak 6.5/10 average rating in the Premier League so far this season, making him the ninth-worst performer to have featured for the Irons (per WhoScored), he will have to make some improvements on the pitch.
