Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium finished second at the Stadium of the Year awards.
Alasdair Gold shared the news with fans on Twitter, suggesting that the decision was perhaps a controversial one. In the end, they lost out to the newly opened Puskas Arena in Budapest, which plays host to the Hungarian national side.
Spurs officially moved into their new stadium in April last year, after playing a lot of the season at Wembley, with the senior side’s first game there finishing in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too happy that their stadium missed out on finishing first.
What do we think?
Spurs’ stadium has clearly impressed a lot of people across the world considering more than 40% of voters selected the stadium in their top five. Since this was a public vote, it probably won’t convince a lot of Spurs fans to change their view that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is currently the best in the world.
