Spurs fans have been reacting to some re-posted footage of Mauricio Pochettino from pre-season following the latest defeat against Wolves.
In the video, which was posted by a Spurs fan on Twitter, the Argentinian manager speaks with Gary Lineker about the need for a re-build at the North London club. The 48-year-old failed to sell players such as Danny Rose, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld last summer and paid the price with a dreadful start to the Premier League campaign, which saw him sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho in November of last year.
Mourinho has subsequently sent Rose out on loan and sold Eriksen to Inter, whilst Alderwiereld was rewarded with a new contract but recent results have suggested that there is still a need for a rebuild in the summer, with the squad clearly struggling to cope without the likes of Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.
Do you think Spurs will rebuild during the summer?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the video of Pochettino can be seen in the tweets below.
He saw it. But he and Levy were tight. He always knew the constraints he was working within & never adapted. That could have involved:
– buying young English players cheaply.
– developing our own players.
– using data to target under-valued players. He chose none of the above.

Miss him everyday, and he saw it before anyone else did, a rebuild was needed. But whether it’s him, Jose, or anyone else, I worry the rebuild we need is not going to happen under Levy

Crushing. This just made me miss Poch big time. Wish Levy gave him more support. Let him splash some cash in hindsight. @StevenAzrak

These Spurs fans clearly miss Pochettino and seem to agree that the Argentinian saw the current struggles coming, but wasn’t backed appropriately.
What do we think?
It would be interesting to see where Spurs would be this season if they had stuck with Pochettino, as while Mourinho has helped them push back up the table, recent results have been less than impressive.
