Spurs fans have been discussing Lucas Moura’s Instagram post in the wake of their 3-0 defeat against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The Brazilian posted on his Instagram page (via Daily Hotspur), following the North London club’s exit from the competition, saying: “It’s very painful, but I am sure it will make us stronger. And I need to say again that I am so proud to wear this shirt. God is in control, always! We will be back!”
The 27-year-old struggled to make much impact against Julian Nagelsmann’s side in Tuesday’s defeat; earning a disappointing 6.47 rating from Whoscored. In 38 appearances so far this season; the former PSG man has contributed seven goals and three assists, although he has often been forced to play out of position in the absence of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.
Is Moura good enough to be a regular starter at Spurs?

Needs to show that he’s proud to wear the shirt on the pitch then

At least you will have more practice time now . Maybe you can learn to pass the ball at right moment (to spurs players) or at least get a shot on target

The shame is we won’t be back. Not in the Champions League anyway.

30/45min player at best !!! Anyone says different has no clue about football !!! Absolutely does nothing in a football game ! Only spurs would play someone who’s living off that Ajax hat-trick !!! Such a small mentality

These Spurs fans are seemingly split between supporting Moura and criticising his comments following the defeat against Leipzig.
What do we think?
Moura, who is valued at £36 million (as per Transfermarkt), has spoken in the past about how he doesn’t enjoy playing as a striker but has done so on eight occasions so far this season and we have seen no real complaints from the 27-year-old, so perhaps Spurs fans should be a bit more supportive of the Brazilian.
