Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Giovani Lo Celso in the wake of the 3-0 defeat against RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
The Argentine posted following the game in Germany, which saw the North London club crash out of the Champions League, saying: “Extremely disappointed from last night. Our UCL campaign is over, but will work hard to finish the season as high as possible. Thanks to all the traveling fans for your amazing support in Leipzig.”
The former PSG man was one of few bright sparks in the defeat, earning a 7.86 rating for his performance; the only Spurs player to receive a rating above 7.0. The 23-year-old has impressed in his performances in the Champions League, averaging a superb 7.31 rating across five appearances, and Spurs fans will no doubt be hoping he can transfer that form to the Premier League for the remainder of the season.

You were class again Gio.
Ridiculous injuries and the Board’s failure to sign a decent striker or holding mid to play alongside you have ruined this season.
But I’m hoping it wakes the Board up and they bring in quality reinforcements like you in the summer. Bring on 2020-21!— days without a striker (@MattyFrench82) March 11, 2020
Lo siento gio. This is not Tottenham. You deserve better

These Spurs fans are clearly big fans of Lo Celso and have suggested that with him in the side next season could be a more enjoyable one.
What do we think?
The season is all but over for Spurs fans now really, as it would take an almighty turn around for them to finish in the top-four, but the Argentinian international has shown in his performances towards the end of this season that he could be a key player in Jose Mourinho’s side next season
