Spurs fans have been discussing some quotes from Dele Alli in the wake of the 3-0 defeat to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.
The 23-year-old spoke to the press after the game against Julian Nagelsmann’s side and apologised to the supporters who had made the trip for the match, saying (per Football on BT Sport via LastWordonSpurs): “We can’t use Son & Kane out as an excuse, we’ve quality on the pitch. You have to step up and we haven’t done that. I’m gutted, apologies to fans who travelled out.”
The former MK Dons man struggled to have much impact on Tuesday night’s game, earning a disappointing 5.67 rating for his performance against the Bundesliga side, as per WhoScored. The England international was dispossessed five times and won zero aerial duels, despite being deployed as a striker by Jose Mourinho.

These Spurs fans don’t seem too impressed with Alli’s post-match thoughts or with the £72 million-rated man’s performance against Leipzig.

Alli hasn’t been in the best of form lately but he is still only 23 years old and he deserves credit for coming out to face the media when many players more senior than him did not.
