Spurs fans were delighted to see their club being linked with a move for Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to Sporten.com (via Ricky Sacks), the North London club are keen to complete the signing of the centre-back ahead of next season. So far this season, the 21-year-old has started 28 games in the Scottish Premiership and is clearly a mainstay in Neil Lennon’s side.
Since joining the Hoops from IK Start in 2016, Ajer has gone on to make 129 appearances for the club; scoring five goals. He is also a regular in the Norwegian national side, having earned 14 caps for his country since making his debut in 2018.

Would absolutely love to get Ajer! I watch a lot of Celtic and was banging the VVD drum for ages, this guy isn’t quite at the level he was but he has tons of potential.

These Spurs fans clearly believe that Ajer would be a good signing for the club and hope to see a deal done in the summer.
What do we think?
Although he features mainly as a centre-back, suggesting he could be a replacement for Jan Vertonghen who is likely to leave when his contract expires this summer, Ajer has also featured in midfield and even as a striker in his career, so perhaps Jose Mourinho could even use him as a back-up to Harry Kane.
