Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to criticise the performance of Tanguy Ndombele during the FA Cup defeat to Norwich City on Wednesday night.
The Frenchman came on as a second-half substitute during the game against Daniel Farke’s side but struggled to have much of an impact, earning a disappointing 6.69 rating for his performance. The Frenchman completed just one dribble and had no shots on goal in his time on the pitch, with the 23-year-old’s last goal for the club coming in the 2-1 win over Southampton back in September.
Since joining from Lyon in a club-record deal during the summer, the midfielder has started just 16 games in all competitions for the North London club, as injury and fitness issues continue to cause problems.
Is Ndombele running out of chances at Spurs?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to Ndombele’s performance against Norwich can be seen in the tweets below.
Obvious Spurs really don’t have a team to challenge for trophies now. May be better when injured players are back. Ndombele shouldn’t be playing in the premier league #THFC #Mourinho always go for hard jobs.

If only Ndombele didn’t have the fitness of a 25 stone 75 year old, technically he’s superb and we look so much better when he and Lo Celso are together in midfield.
Shame there’s never anyone to take the openings in the box without a striker…

Ndombele didn’t even have the bottle to take a penalty. Probably didn’t want to run the extra steps to actually take it. He is a overweight, lazy, unfit, bottling disgrace.

Ndombele was so poor when he came on. No urgency at all, didn’t drive forward on the ball. Genuinely looks like he’s running through marmite.

Lets be honest #ndombele is a show pony, who no one else wanted & it’s obvious why. We shop where no elite club wants to go, or where we can beat the likes of WHU to a signing. We are where we deserve to be. We have enough of a rep to buy quality this summer but unlikely we will.

Alderweireld and Vertonghen ain’t it no more has to be said. Vorm never plays again for this club. Ndombele biggest waste of money I’ve ever seen. Has all the talent but is just missing so much. Try to get that money back in the summer.

These Spurs fans clearly weren’t impressed with Ndombele’s performance vs Norwich and feel as if he is proving to be a waste of money.
What do we think?
It says a lot that 19-year-old Oliver Skipp was able to play for 120 minutes in his first start under Mourinho, but Ndombele has completed 90 minutes just five times in his Tottenham career. The £58.5 million-rated man seriously needs to work on his fitness, otherwise, he looks unlikely to make it in the Premier League.
