Spurs fans have been reacting to Jose Mourinho’s quotes in the wake of the FA Cup penalty-shootout defeat against Norwich City on Wednesday night.
After 120 minutes of action, the two sides were unable to be separated and it was Daniel Farke’s side who progressed on penalties. Mourinho’s squad was already looking thin following various injuries and extra time will no doubt have taken its toll on the team at the North London club.
Following the game, Mourinho spoke to media about upcoming fixtures, revealing that he would be asking the Tottenham board whether they would prefer him to prioritise the game against Burnley on Saturday, or the second leg of their Champions League tie against RB Leipzig next week, as his squad cannot do both.

What do we think?
It is slightly embarrassing that a club the size of Spurs seemingly doesn’t have the squad depth to be able to play two games in four days and it looks as if a failure to bring in a striker during the January transfer window to replace the injured Harry Kane has completely derailed their season.
The Lilywhites are in 7th place in the Premier League and travel to Leipzig with a first-leg deficit, so the chances of playing Champions League football next season do not look too good.
