Spurs fans have been discussing some quotes from Lucas Moura in the wake of the 3-2 defeat to Wolves at the weekend.
The Brazilian spoke to the club following Sunday’s game, suggesting that the performance was good but that the North London club would need to start cutting out mistakes and concentrating more if they are to see out games. It was a big game for Jose Mourinho’s side to lose, as they slipped behind their opponents in the Premier League table and fell further behind in the race for the top-four spots.
Moura has struggled at times so far this season; averaging a 6.89 rating in the Premier League having contributed just four goals and two assists in 26 appearances. The former PSG man has been deployed as a striker on several occasions since Harry Kane’s injury in January, despite suggesting in the past that he really disliked playing there under Mauricio Pochettino.

I know he’s committed to every game for the team, but frankly, I can’t think he plays efficiently. First of all, he is too weak physically, and recently he often loses his chances because he makes a lot of pass miss.

He’s a terrible player. 4 goals in 26 appearances is too bad. We should sell this guy ASAP.

Sell Lucas this summer!!! Can’t stand watching him start every game. Deserves to be in the bench. He is overrated. He overrates himself as well. Living off of one game.

These Spurs fans were quick to criticise Moura after the game for his performance, with many suggesting that they should sell the 27-year-old.
What do we think?
It is disappointing that so many Spurs fans were critical of the £36 million rated man following the game against Wolves, especially when he earned a strong 7.28 rating.
