Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from youngster Malachi Fagan-Walcott after the defender made his debut for the club in the 3-0 defeat against RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.
The defender replaced Serge Aurier (Line-ups) in the dying moments of the game in Germany to make his professional debut and while the result will be one many Spurs fans will want to forget, it was certainly a night to remember for the 18-year-old.
He tweeted: “It’s was a night of mixed emotions, extremely disappointed to be knocked out of the champions league with such a great team, but on a positive note happy to have made my professional debut in the champions league. Proud moment for me and my family.”
After the emergence of fellow academy graduate Japhet Tanganga into the Spurs team this season, perhaps Fagan-Walcott will be hoping he can have a similar impact next season.
Do you think Fagan-Walcott could feature more in the senior side next season?

Well done indeed. I hope to see you in the senior team again soon! This must have been a wonderful experience for you, and as you say, your family

These Spurs fans were quick to congratulate Fagan-Walcott on his debut as well as his birthday, after he turned 18 on Wednesday of this week.
What do we think?
The youngster has clearly done enough to prove to Jose Mourinho that he is worthy of a place on the bench in a Champions League knockout game, so with more hard work, perhaps Fagan-Walcott will become a more prominent part of the senior squad next season.
