At the time of writing this, Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that the Premier League are set to call off this weekend’s fixtures after Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta tested positive for coronavirus.
According to The Times (via Daily Hotspur), the league was already under pressure to postpone games due to the pandemic, but after Arsenal confirmed that Arteta had contracted the virus, the decision will be brought forward. Several other European leagues, including La Liga and the Eredivisie have postponed their respective leagues to try and combat the spread of the virus.
Considering Spurs’ recent form, it seems as if some fans are glad to hear the news, as they will avoid facing an in-form Manchester United side at the weekend. It is unclear how the season will be revolved amidst the crisis, but the North London club could certainly benefit from having a few players back from injury should the season be continued at a later date, although that is not the most important matter at this time.
Do you think Premier League games should be postponed?

These Spurs fans clearly seem delighted with the news that the Premier League is expected to postpone this weekend’s games.
What do we think?
Player and fan safety has to come first and unfortunately for fans, that means cancelling certain fixtures. It will be interesting to see how, if at all possible, the season will be resolved.
