Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that Dele Alli is planning to appeal against his FA charge for posting a video in which he mocked the coronavirus outbreak.
According to Standard Sport (via Ricky Sacks), the 23-year-old is planning to appeal the decision made by the FA last month, as he seeks to avoid a ban. If the midfielder opts to appeal then he would be granted a personal hearing, where he could then make his case to the FA.
Spurs are already without the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Moussa Sissoko through injury, so they would obviously prefer to keep the England international available for their remaining games this season, as they continue to harbour hopes of a top-four finish.
Do you think Alli will get a match ban?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on Alli can be seen in the tweets below.
Wouldn’t be a massive loss to us anyway let’s be fair, he’s been shocking lately

Id rather he be banned…. no use on the pitch at the moment

Ban or no ban, feels like his presence on the pitch is non existent.

Shame it wasn’t more than a one match ban.

Not like he does anything for us on the pitch.

I thought he was banned for last nights game… where was he?

These Spurs fans clearly don’t seem to be too fussed about a potential ban for Alli and feel that his recent performances have been far from good enough.
What do we think?
Alli has certainly not been at his best in recent weeks; with the 23-year-old’s last goal coming in the 2-1 win over Norwich back in January, so perhaps losing the former MK Dons man wouldn’t be too much of a problem for the North London club.
