Spurs fans have been discussing a post from Toby Alderweireld, in which the Belgian defender admits he’s buying electronic tablets to give to nursing and care homes, so that loved ones can stay in touch.
The 31-year-old posted a video to his Twitter, with the caption; “Whoever can help, please help! Together, we can come out of this difficult time stronger than ever. Stay safe everyone.” It is an excellent act of kindness from the Spurs defender, who is clearly keen for loved ones to be able to stay in touch with each other during these unprecedented times.
The former Atletico Madrid man extended his contract with the North London club earlier in the season and has been a regular under Jose Mourinho; having started 27 of the 29 games in the Premier League so far.

These Spurs fans clearly love the fact that Alderweireld, who is valued at £27 million (as per Transfermarkt), has made his own contribution to try and help people during the current viral outbreak.
What do we think?
Alderweireld’s actions exemplify exactly what people should be trying to do during these difficult times, which is to try and show kindness to each other at all times.
