Spurs fans have been reacting to a transfer rumour linking them with a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
According to Daily Star Sport (via Ricky Sacks), the North London club are interested in signing the 23-year-old this summer but will face competition from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City. So far this season, the England international has made 23 appearances in the Premier League this season; averaging a 6.97 rating.
The defender’s performances have seen him become a regular in Gareth Southgate’s England side in recent years, with the Leicester ace having earned 11 caps since making his debut in 2018. He is currently valued at £45 million by Transfermarkt, so it would presumably be an expensive transfer should Jose Mourinho manage to tempt him with a move to the Lilywhites.
Reaction from Spurs fans to the reported interest in Chilwell can be seen in the tweets below.
So average, another overhyped English player who will cost too much. Hope we stay away

These Spurs fans either don’t want their club to sign Chilwell or simply think that he wouldn’t want to join.
Would Chilwell be a good signing for Spurs?
Yes
No
What do we think?
With Leicester currently on track for a Champions League spot, whilst Mourinho’s side are currently languishing in eighth, it would perhaps be a surprise to see him make the move to the Lilywhites. However, with Danny Rose and Jan Vertonghen both looking to be on their way out of the club, Spurs arguably do need to bring in a left-back.
