Spurs fans have been discussing the latest update on a potential move for Chelsea winger Willian in the summer transfer window.
According to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo (via Ricky Sacks), the North London club are in pole position to sign the Brazilian winger on a free transfer this summer. The 31-year-old’s contract with Frank Lampard’s side expires in the summer, and it seems as if he wishes to be reunited with his old manager Jose Mourinho at Spurs.
So far this season, the former Shakhtar Donetsk man has averaged an impressive 7.25 rating; having contributed five goals and five assists in 28 appearances in the Premier League. Spurs already have the likes of Heung-Min Son, Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura available to play on the wing, but Willian could prove to be an experienced back-up in Mourinho’s squad, considering he has now made 226 appearances in the Premier League.
Would Willian be a good signing for Spurs?

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too keen on a move for Willian, with several commenting on their dislike for the Brazilian after he was close to joining the Lilywhites in 2013, but joined Chelsea instead.
What do we think?
Willian has shown with his performances this season that he is still a quality player and to sign him on a free transfer would surely represent excellent business for the North London club.
