Spurs fans were devastated to hear that Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly being linked with the job at Real Madrid and he wants to sign Harry Kane for the La Liga side.
According to Spanish news outlet El Chiringuito – video at top of the page (via Ricky Sacks), Los Blancos have held negotiations with the Argentinian manager and are preparing a move for the 26-year-old striker this summer. The 48-year-old has been out of management since being sacked by Spurs in November, but it seems as if he has emerged as the top target to replace Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
Despite having been injured with a hamstring tear since early January, Kane is still Spurs’ top scorer this season with 17 goals in all competitions, so it would be a huge blow for the North London club if he were to team up with his old manager in Spain this summer. However, with the England international currently valued at £135 million by transfermarkt, it would presumably take a huge bid to see the prolific striker make the move away from the Premier League.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t keen on seeing Pochettino and Kane link up at Madrid anytime soon.
What do we think?
With Spurs looking unlikely to be playing in the Champions League next season, it would not be a surprise to see him move to a club playing in that competition and if Pochettino does join Madrid, that arguably almost feels like the natural choice.
