Spurs fans have been discussing Tanguy Ndombele after it was reported earlier this week that Barcelona were interested in signing the Frenchman this summer.
Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo suggested that the La Liga side were eyeing up a move for the 23-year-old, which led COYS.com to share their thoughts on the midfielder on Twitter, which attracted a lot of supporters of the North London club. Since signing for a club-record fee last summer, the former Lyon man has made just 19 appearances in the Premier League; averaging a 6.76 rating.
The French international has regularly struggled with fitness issues since signing, although his performances in the Champions League; where he averaged a 7.34 rating, demonstrate that he has shown fans some glimpses of quality.
A sample of tweets discussing Ndombele and his future at Spurs can be seen in the tweets below.
Letting him go after 1 season would be a massive mistake, broke our record transfer to get him in for a reason. He’s class, just needs to get fit and he could be our new dembele

Remember these players first seasons? Berbatov, Modric, Bale and Son. It takes them time. A lot of fitness work to be done but can’t write him off yet

Feel he could be another Sissoko. Highly criticised initially only to become an absolute beast for us. Time will tell…

Ndombele is a beast …we seriously need him… COYS

He just needs time…..he is a good player…..I would be disappointed if we let him go

Let him go after one season when he’s only recently turned 23 and has shown glimpses of excellence? Yeah, nice idea, dimwits.

These Spurs fans clearly seem to agree that they should keep hold of Ndombele for another season at least.
What do we think?
It will be interesting to see whether Jose Mourinho lets Ndombele leave if Barcelona do come in for the midfielder but considering he is currently valued at £58.5 million by Transfermarkt, it would surely take a huge bid from the La Liga side to see him depart.
