Spurs fans were delighted to hear that the club are being linked with a move for Wolves striker Raul Jimenez in the summer transfer window.
According to ESPN (via The Spurs Web), the North London club are interested in signing the Mexican international ahead of next season. So far this season, the 28-year-old has averaged an impressive 7.29 rating for his performances in the Premier League and has contributed 16 goals in all competitions for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The former Benfica man is currently valued at £45 million by transfermarkt however, so it would represent an expensive transfer for the Lilywhites, especially for a striker who would be most likely be forced to compete with Harry Kane for a starting spot. However, with Wolves currently above Spurs in the league, perhaps he will favour staying with the Old Gold, as at the moment they are looking more likely to secure European football for next season.
Would Jimenez be a good signing for Spurs?

Should have tried to sign him in January, how Wolves weren’t even contacted re his availability is beyond me, exactly what we need #COYS #THFC

Well theres rumours kane might want out so he could be the replacement. If so he would be very high on my list but I just dont see why it would happen.

Would love him at Spurs, think it’s a year too late. He’ll be on a few clubs radar this summer…

This is the best replacement for Kane

These Spurs fans would clearly love to see their club sign Jimenez in the summer transfer window.
What do we think?
Jimenez has scored 26 goals in 67 appearances in the Premier League so would be a proven option for Jose Mourinho and would perhaps ease the pressure on Kane as Spurs’ only senior striker. However, it would be a surprise to see him switch Wolves for Spurs considering how the two clubs have performed so far this season.
