Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing some footage of Gedson Fernandes from the FA Cup game against Norwich City earlier this month.
Although Spurs would go on to lose the game on penalties, after the 21-year-old’s penalty was saved (3:37 in the video) by Tim Krul, it seems as if a lot of fans were impressed by his performance. A Spurs fan shared some footage of the loanee’s best moments from the game on Twitter and it has gathered a lot of responses from fellow supporters.
Since joining from Benfica on an 18-month loan during the January transfer window, Fernandes has made just four substitute appearances in the Premier League, averaging a 6.21 rating. However, his performance from the bench against Norwich perhaps showed fans why Jose Mourinho brought him in, as he earned a 7.6 rating despite his penalty miss.

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed the footage of Fernandes and seem to think that he can make a positive impact on their season.

Fernandes hasn’t really been given much of a chance so far this season but perhaps Spurs fans will get to see more of him should the Premier League resume from the current suspension.
