Spurs fans have been discussing a transfer rumour linking them with a move for former Liverpool winger Philippe Coutinho.
According to the Daily Mirror (via The Spurs Web), the North London club have enquired about taking the 27-year-old on loan from Barcelona ahead of next season. The Brazilian has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich and largely impressed; earning a 7.27 average rating for his performances in the Bundesliga.
The former Inter man was instrumental in both of Bayern’s victories against Spurs in the Champions League earlier in the season; earning an 8.01 rating for his performance in the 7-2 win and an 8.95 rating in the 3-1 home win. Despite this, the report from the Mirror suggests that the German side aren’t willing to extend his stay in Bavaria by making the deal permanent, which potentially opens the door for him to join Spurs on loan in the summer.
Would Coutinho be a good signing for Spurs?

This is one link we should push through. Won’t happen though because Levy won’t pay him what he would want.

The majority of these Spurs fans seem keen on a deal for Coutinho this summer, with one fan suggesting that he could even be a replacement for Christian Eriksen; who, of course, left Spurs to join Inter during the January transfer window.
What do we think?
Coutinho has plenty of Premier League pedigree, having featured 152 times in the top flight during his time at Liverpool and considering his strong form with Bayern Munich so far this season, if Spurs could bring him in on loan it looks as if it could be a great deal.
