Spurs fans have been discussing some footage of former winger Cliff Jones.
The 85-year-old, who featured for the North London club between 1958-1968, shared a video of himself working out in the garden on Twitter, which has delighted a lot of Lilywhites fans. During his time with Spurs, Jones was renowned for his pace and goal contributions, notching 25 goals in the 1959/60 season.
At his peak in 1962, Juventus offered £125,000 (then a world-record fee) for the winger opted to stay with the North London side. He was inducted into the National Football Museum in 2013 when they suggested that “Ryan Giggs and Gareth Bale may be superstars of the modern game, but Cliff Jones was the Welsh wing wizard of the sixties.”
