Spurs fans have been discussing the transfer rumour linking Bayern Munich and former Manchester City centre-back Jerome Boateng with the North London club.
Sport Bild have revealed that Bayern Munich have made the German defender available for transfer and according to Bleacher Report (via Ricky Sacks), Jose Mourinho is very keen on bringing him to the Premier League this summer. The 31-year-old is currently valued at £13.5 million by transfermarkt.
So far this season, the experienced defender has averaged a 6.70 rating for his performances in the Bundesliga, having made 16 appearances in the German top flight. The centre-back could well prove to be a replacement for Jan Vertonghen; with the Belgian set to leave Spurs in the summer when his contract expires.

These Spurs fans clearly aren’t too keen on potentially signing Boateng in the summer, with many suggesting that he is too old and slow for the Premier League.
What do we think?
Although he is now 31-years-old, Boateng is a World Cup winner with Germany and if he is available for a low price, then he could prove to be an excellent influence in the Spurs squad and dressing room.
