With the lack of football over the weekend, Alasdair Gold decided to do a Q and A with Spurs fans on Twitter, answering a range of questions in his article for Football.London.

The journalist took one question from a fan on when certain players might return from injury, with the journalist suggesting that: “Harry Kane is back doing ball work outdoors and is expected back in early April.” per Football.London (15.51, 15th March 2020).

The 26-year-old has been out injured since suffering a hamstring tear in the New Year’s Day defeat against Southampton, but, according to Gold, could well be back fit should the Premier League resume in early April.

Do you think Harry Kane could return and save Spurs' season?

The North London club are currently eighth in the Premier League as we enter this break in play, and Kane will no doubt be working hard to continue his recovery. As Gold suggests, the forward is already doing ball work outdoors, so he has made remarkable progress when you consider that there were some concerns that he would be out for the season with his injury.

How well do you remember Spurs' run to the Champions League final last season? - Which of these teams weren't in Spurs' group?

Despite his significant period out injured, the England captain is still Spurs’ top scorer this season with 17 goals in all competitions, so it will be a huge boost for Jose Mourinho if he can have the talismanic forward back in his side for the remaining fixtures.

Of course, at this point, it remains unclear whether we will be able to play out the rest of the fixtures in the Premier League this season, but if Mourinho does have Kane back at his disposal by the time it potentially restarts, then perhaps a top-four finish is back on the cards.
