Fans of Spurs have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Dayot Upamecano has told his current club, RB Leipzig, that he wants to leave this summer.
According to reports in German publication Sport BILD (via Inside Futbol), Upamecano has decided that he wants to leave RB this summer, and will hand in a transfer request if not bids reach his buy out clause, which is reported to be around £55million.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by TranSPURS on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to share their opinion on the potential transfer, with many claiming that Jose Mourinho should do everything in his power to sign the centre-back, while others have stated their belief that the deal will not materialise.

That’s spurs for you always starting from the back, next the middle, then stop & be unmoveable like a mountain to get a striker. No striker even when in need.

What do we think?
It is not difficult to see why some Spurs fans appear keen on the deal to happen, as Upamecano has been in fine form for RB Leipzig this season.
The £45million-rated 21-year-old has made 21 Bundesliga appearances for the club so far this term, averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.23 in the league, as well as an equally impressive rating of 7.30 in the Champions League.
As such, the French U21 international appears as if he would be a very welcome addition to the Spurs backline.
