Some Southampton fans have been left talking by the latest video involving defender Yan Valery that was recently posted on Twitter.

Valery was the latest footballer to jump on the ‘stay at home challenge’ bandwagon as he did kick-ups with a toilet roll. Southampton’s official Twitter account relayed this video on Twitter, along with the caption: ‘Where did that end up’.

Who scored Southampton's first goal of the season?

This post left Saints fans talking. Some mocked the young full-back for his recent performances while others were shocked to see his messy flat in the background.

Should Valery be a starter for Southampton?

This season, Valery has made only nine first-team appearances in the Premier League. The Frenchman also played once in the League Cup earlier in the campaign for the Saints. He is yet to register a single goal or assist this season.

What do we think?

Against Newcastle recently, Valery started but made an error leading to the goal which led to the Magpies winning the game 1-0 through an Allan Saint-Maximin goal. As a result, Valery had got a WhoScored rating of only 5.93 in the game.

The comments of the Saints fans show that they haven’t forgotten about his error and are reminding him of it. But with Cedric Soares now on loan at Arsenal and Kyle Walker-Peters having played just one game, they should hope Valery improves soon.
