Some Southampton fans have been left to debate about Adam Blackmore’s latest tweet that concerns Tottenham target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s situation.

Blackmore, who is the Sports Editor at Sports Solent, tweeted that Hojbjerg hasn’t been offered a new contract yet and says that no Saints players will be offered a new deal until Southampton go past the 36-point tally in the Premier League.

Should Southampton sell Hojbjerg in the summer?

When Blackmore tweeted this out, many Saints fans were left talking. Some of them were fuming at the midfielder and the others were talking about his situation in general.

Who holds the record of having scored the quickest goal in Premier League history?

Football Insider had reported recently that the former Bayern Munich man had knocked back a contract offer from the Saints recently. The same report went onto say that the midfielder is looking to move to a bigger club, with Tottenham Hotspur interested in him.

What do we think?

The Denmark man’s current deal at St. Mary’s runs out in the summer of 2021. Next season would see him enter the last year of his deal and that will not do the club too much good, as his value will decrease. If they sell him in the summer, they can still recover the £12.8 million that they shelled out on him in 2016.
