Some Newcastle United fans have reacted to the latest Twitter post that defender Valentino Lazaro sent out.
The recent pandemic outbreak has seen the Premier League suspended until the beginning of April. Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has already tested positive for the virus and so has Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. Three Leicester City players are also currently in isolation after showing symptoms of the disease.
Lazaro’s recent Twitter post said that the authorities were right to suspend Premier League football and urged everyone to stay safe. This left many Newcastle fans talking.

Lazaro had joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019 but after having made just six Serie A appearances under Antonio Conte, the Austrian left the club on loan to join Newcastle until the end of the season in the January transfer window.
Since joining, the full-back has already made four Premier League appearances under Steve Bruce. He is yet to score in the Premier League, but has already scored for the club in the FA Cup, while he was sent off in the Magpies’ Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
What do we think?
Lazaro already seems to have earned the love of many Newcastle fans, judging from the comments. The 23-year-old is right to say that the suspension of the Premier League is the correct course of action, as this can help to stop the spread of the pandemic.
